This is not an introduction

Whenever I start a new blog I always hope it will will be the last, that this time my concept is concrete and my interest sticks. Deep down, each time, I have known I will get bored, or cynical, or run out of ideas, or just forget. This time I have had a lecturer force blogging down my computer to show off my work and develop brand 'me'. So hopefully this will stick, at least until the end of term.

In my experience the worst thing to do in blogging, and probably real life too, is to make an introduction. There is nothing harder to follow up on than an introduction. Can you make good on your promises? will you become a victim of your own cynicism? will the vapid airiness of the whole thing put readers off? These are the traps you set in making an introduction, so I think it will be better to rush right into what I want to do in this blog...

Primarily this blog is for showing off my work and having a profile to show employers or anyone else that asks the most obnoxious of all questions, 'what do you write?'

At the moment I have got a page for Poetry, a page for Observation, Opinion and Facts and a page for Inspiration. The Inspiration page is basically a collection of Paint and Photoshop pictures/collages that I make when stuck for inspiration. I quite like them, it is not serious art and I do not want you to judge them as such, however, if you would like to commision me, I'd be more than happy to. Below these pictures are pictures of things and people that inspire me, its pretty sparce at the moment but I'll probably fill it up as I go along.

The Observation, Opinion and Facts and Poetry pages show a collection of my work that will change as I write more stuff/get better at writing. The non-fiction needs a proof-read and a trio more articles. The poetry could do with a clean up and some sub-categories.

For the home page blog I'll try and keep up writing about life happenings, thoughts and changes to the site. I might add a page of prose if I get round to it/write any.

This is all new and a work in progress so if you notice anything wrong, or have any comments all are welcome and appreciate.
